| Sharks Ice at San Jose, formerly called Logitech Ice, is the practice facility for the NHL San Jose Sharks. The arena houses four sheets of ice and is a favorite destination for all California teams every season. It is located directly adjacent to San Jose State University. The rink's management does a great job creating a big event environment for tournaments and playoffs. A large full service snack bar and even larger pro-shop/souvenir shop/concierge desk, is located just off the Center rink. All four ice surfaces have some sort of grandstand seating, though the best are at the original two rinks, which we believe are Center and North. The crown jewel of Sharks Ice at San Jose is the tremendous sports bar they built upstairs. Stocked with flat screen HDTVs throughout the spacious wood-lined lounging area, Stanleys Sports Bar overlooks three of the four rinks. They serve a very nice breakfast and the coffee is flowing early on weekend mornings. Stanleys is so good that non-hockey locals go there to spend their NFL football Sundays in HD and draft beer splendor. If the whole league attends at the same time, CAHA weekends at San Jose are just plain fabulous. |
